Regarding the entrance exam <General selection>

1. Will there be a two-stage selection process?

Neither Faculty of Agriculture nor Faculty of Engineering conducts a two-stage selection process. Students can take the general selection process regardless of their scores on the Common University Entrance Examination.

2. Is it possible to apply to the same faculty/department at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in both the early and late schedules?

Yes, you can. Please apply for both the early and late schedules. You can also apply to different faculties and departments.

3. For early and late exams, can I inspect the venue the day before?

Please apply between 13:00 and 15:00 on the day before the test. If the day before the test is a weekend or public holiday, please apply between 13:00 and 15:00 on the previous weekday.

4. Can you recommend accommodations for when I take the exam?

We do not introduce it as a university, but the university co-op has issued a guide, so please contact us.

5. Can I enter the testing center by car, motorcycle, or bicycle?

Cars and motorcycles are not permitted on campus. Bicycles must be parked in a designated bicycle parking area before entering the campus. Please use public transportation whenever possible.

6. Do I need to wear indoor shoes?

None required.

7. Are past entrance examination questions published?

前年度の試験問題等を掲載した「入試情報」冊子を毎年7月中旬頃に発行し、学部説明会や進学相談会等で配付するとともに、本学ホームページにも掲載しています。また、同冊子には前年度の入試結果、倍率、構成比、出身都道府県等の情報も掲載されています。

8. Is the competition ratio for each faculty and department not disclosed during the application period?

For general selection only, application status will be updated daily during the application period and published on Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology website.

9. When working adults apply for the general selection exam, are there any restrictions or disadvantages they may face due to their age, work history, or employment status (full-time employee, part-time employee, etc.)?

In the general selection process, age and work experience do not matter. You can apply as long as you meet the application requirements. You will need to take the University Entrance Common Test, but age and work experience will not affect your application.

10. I am currently on a leave of absence from university. Can I still take the general selection exam?

If you meet the application requirements, you can apply. However, some universities may not allow you to take the exam. Please note that you must also complete the withdrawal procedure at your current university before enrolling.

11. If I am applying to Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology of Agriculture and Technology for the early and late schedules, do I need to submit a school report and a letter of intent separately?

If you are applying to both the "early schedule" and "late schedule" of our university, you will need a separate envelope for each schedule. Please mail each envelope separately for each exam date.
